Star Dune
Great Sand Dunes National Park
This is Star Dune, the 2nd highest dune in the park. It's called Star Dune because from the air, it has four or five ridges of sand that connect to the dune forming a star. This dune is more remote and actually has more vertical relief than High Dune, which is the parks highest dune by about 15ft. Photo © copyright by Kane Engelbert.
