A massive ceiling of storm clouds hangs over the Colorado mountains while the final light of evening ignites the landscape below. Golden aspen forests stretch across the valleys as isolated ridges and distant peaks catch brilliant orange light beneath the approaching weather. Deep shadows divide the scene into layers, intensifying the contrast between luminous autumn color and the dark mountains.
